About this place
Sitting down to grilled skewers without ceremony is the everyday appeal of Kushitetsu. Yakitori and yakiton skewers—including cuts like kashira (pork temple) and pork belly—are priced accessibly, with richer bites like tail and fatty pork neck often paired with grated daikon radish provided as an appetizer to keep things refreshing. Stuffed vegetable wraps such as bell peppers filled with melted cheese or wrapped asparagus add welcome variety to the skewer selection.
Complementing the grill are the kitchen's slow-simmered dishes. Thick motsuni made with pork offal and konnyaku and sweet-savory simmered beef tofu make natural partners for a large mug of Sapporo Black Label, a highball, or a glass of Hoppy. House specialties like a Moscow Mule infused with pickled ginger alongside clean-tasting sour cocktails give diners plenty of choices as the night progresses.
Seating includes counter stools as well as tables and tatami floor sections, accommodating solo diners after work or groups sharing drinks. On weekdays the shop also opens for lunch, when ticket vending machines dispense hearty sets such as motsuni, ginger pork, and simmered beef plates.
